Swiss media and graphic interaction designer

Born in 1998 in Geneva, Switzerland, Jamy Herrmann draws his inspiration from the many travels of his childhood. Having lived in Singapore for two years at the age of 8, he has since developed a strong curiosity through observation. Taken under competition at the CFP Arts of Geneva in 2014. He has since graduated from the Bachelor in visual communication (option Media & Interaction Design) at ECAL (Ecole Cantonale d'Art de Lausanne) with the mention "Excellent" (2022).
He is now working for the Visual Communication department and the Center of Technology at ECAL. He is particularly interested in new technologies and particularly in the junction between image with interaction and the social implications of it.

More than ever, the virtual invites itself into the heart of our reality and alters our perception of it. This magic, as transparent as it is opaque, is as wonderful as it is mysterious. Between a door and a wall, Unleash The Virtual is composed of a diptych of two visuals that oppose each other. One by a luminous organic silhouette and the other by an obscure digital abstraction. These fictitious portals testify to the very concrete bridge of our physical world facing that of the immaterial, whose foundations are (un)fortunately no longer to be proven. This rooting of the digital in the physical is contemplated here, in a way that is as fascinating as it is frightening. The spectator is thus invited to take hold of his phone to admire (helplessly) the emanation and emancipation of these new dimensions.
With the help of the Artivive application on the smartphone, the posters can be viewed in augmented reality, revealing an animation that illustrates this dimensional breach.
