Realized in collaboration with Musée de la Main UNIL-CHUV, Lausanne, for the exhibition « Intelligence Artificielle. Nos reflets dans la machine ». « Oui / Non » is a playful interactive installation that reflects on the binary nature of machine learning models back in 2022. Using a webcam and real-time body tracking, visitors are invited to explore a series of dualities such as tall/short, left/right, wide/narrow, loud/quiet by physically embodying the concepts on screen. Stretching, shrinking, aligning: the body becomes a tool to shift meaning. Through movement and contrast, « Oui / Non » questions how machine-learning perceive us and how we perform for it.
